Junior web developer

The EUREKA Secretariat is looking for a talented and ambitious junior web application developer to join its IT Team.

EUREKA is designing and developing a “web portal” (intranet) with a multi-user access and data input. All functionality can be accessed by registered users based on their user profile and access rights.

The portal’s building blocks are therefore security access management, workflows with flexible creation of forms fully integrated and providing strong collaboration and document management features, task management for collaboration and powerful business reporting.

The Junior web developer is a team player, who quickly integrates into a young and motivated team and likes to deliver solutions with the team.

He/she will deliver highly scalable and reliable applications using the latest technologies like OSGI, Angular JS, DCVS and the latest JDK.

He/she will have to deal with top-edge technologies and will be daily challenged to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.

He/she will be committed to providing excellence in customer service, have excellent communication skills and possesses a high level of personal motivation and energy.

He/she will also have an inventive mind, a positive approach and the organisational ability to cope with the challenge of daily deadlines, changing priorities and a fast paced environment.

He/she has a “can-do” attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor in informatics or proven equivalent competencies (Github account, Stackoverflow record) and preferably between 1 and 3 years working experience;

Main technologies are Java, Osgi, Spring, Angular js, Junit, Mockito, REST;

Extra’s: Elastic search, Grails, Jms, OpenAM;

You have good spoken and written English skills (working language). A good working command of Dutch or French is desirable.

You are a positive and highly-motivated team-player, but with the ability to manage your own deadlines and work independently.

Candidates will be nationals of a EUREKA Member Country and will be legally entitled to work in the European Union.
