SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN (ENERGYDESK) – Greenpeace

Greenpeace_logoThis is a part-time post (22.5 hours per week) for a fixed period of 6 months.

Greenpeace’s Energydesk energy and climate change news site is looking for a new social media intern as part of its successful internship scheme paid at London Living Wage.

It’s a really exciting role where you will learn new skills whilst finding interesting and creative ways to promote stories from Energydesk and grow our following on Twitter, Facebook and email.

The role would suit someone from any background who enjoys finding creative and powerful ways to share stories on social media.

You don’t need to be a journalist, or a campaigner, but you do need to have a nose for what makes a story interesting, and how to change what you write to be relevant to different audiences and groups of people.

You think information is power and you care about getting things right. In the past you’ve used social media to help spread new information which you think could change how people see an issue.

You’re no expert, but you are not afraid of detail and you enjoy finding ways to make complex or numerical stories interesting.

Salary: London Living Wage – £9.15 per hour

Interview Date: 7 July, 2015 (All day)
Application deadline: 26 June, 201517:00
