Research and Policy Analyst – Runnymede

Runnymede, the UK’s leading independent race equality think tank, is looking to employ a research and policy analyst.

The main purpose of the post is to conduct research and support community engagement for the Race Equality Scorecard Project. The post holder should be comfortable with social statistics, though the role does not require advanced understanding or use of statistical methods. The focus of the scorecard is on ethnic inequalities in education, employment, housing and health across London’s boroughs.

In addition to research skills the project involves working with community organisations to increase understanding of data, and to use the findings to influence policymakers.

This is a challenging and varied role requiring an individual who is well organised, thoughtful and thrives on learning new skills and working in a busy and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will need a superior grasp of the English language; proven background in social research and policy analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods; educated to degree level in relevant social sciences, humanitites or comparable professional qualification; experience in producing reports, analysing policy and preparing briefings; and a passion for race equality.

Location: London, UK

Application deadline: 12pm (noon GMT) 6th August 2015
