In order to facilitate and to maximise the impact of the humanitarian operations financed by the Commission in the European Neighbouring Countries, Middle East, Central and Southwest Asia, the expert will appointed to the post of humanitarian Technical Assistant Rapid Response Co-ordinator (RRC) by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection – ECHO.
The RRC will be part of ECHO’s team for the European Neighbouring Countries, Middle East, Central and Southwest Asia, the support office of which will be based in Amman, Jordan. He/she will be responsible for assisting wherever ECHO’s operational activities in the region are required.
He/she should also be prepared, to react to a current or evolving crisis in any other region in the world following a request by DG ECHO Brussels.
