The limits of Europe: The future of the EU’s relations with its Eastern neighbours

Futurelab_Europe_logoThe focus on the EU’s relations with its southern and eastern neighbours tends to shift depending on which Member State is holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. How important is it for the EU to maintain good relations with its neighbours and what are the benefits of a strong neighbourhood policy? Is the current EU policy “fit for purpose” or are we missing an opportunity?

The debate will be in English, followed by a reception. It is part of the Europe@debate series organised by FutureLab across Europe, including Brussels.

The debate will take place on Monday 9 December 2013, 14.00-16.00 at Eurooppasali, Voimatalo Malminkatu 16, Helsinki.
