The organisers are searching the UK’s best universities to find the most outstanding multi-lingual student of the year. They are looking for a winning mix of personal skills, career motivation and an excellent academic record as well as the ability to speak more than one EU language fluently. The winner will get the opportunity to go on an 2-day VIP trip to the heart of Europe, to meet some of the EU’s top policy-makers and visit some of its most famous institutions. The winner will be crowned the “Languages Undergraduate of the Year 2014” and will collect their award from Sir Trevor McDonald OBE at a gala ceremony in Canary Wharf, London on 25 April 2014.
Even if you don’t win, you still stand a chance of making the final shortlist of ten; all of whom will be invited to attend the Undergraduate of the Year Awards as guests of the EU Careers team.
This Award is open to current undergraduates from any year studying any degree subject.
You must be an EU citizen and speak (as your mother tongue) any of the 24 official EU languages as well as a second language fluently – which must be either English, French or German.
