Communications Intern – UNDP, Cyprus

undpSince 2001, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been responsible for the implementation of the European Union funded Programme “Partnership for the Future (PFF)”.

UNDP-PFF aims at contributing to the peace- and confidence-building process in Cyprus through: cultural heritage preservation, urban infrastructure rehabilitation and community development,operational support to the Committee of Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP), as well as implementing bi-communal projects such as the new Nicosia waste water treatment plant.

The internship programme will help successful applicants to gain a greater understanding of UNDP’s confidence building work in Cyprus and communication policies and priorities.

The selected intern shall work in the area of communications with a focus on civil society, sustainable development and the environment, and cultural heritage preservation. In so doing the successful candidate will acquire practical experience in various aspects of project management in an international work environment, the work of UNDP and UNDP-PFF in Cyprus.
