You can apply for this scholarship if you:
- are a Chinese national AND
- meet the requirements of the China Scholarship Council AND
- are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
- already hold an offer to start a full-time PhD research degree programme at Nottingham in September or October 2015, any subject area, this offer must be unconditional (conditional offers will be considered providing all English language requirements have been met, i.e. IELTS/TOEFL).
Application for admission to study at Nottingham must be received at least six weeks before the scholarship closing date to allow time for our Admissions office to process the application and confirm your offer, before you can apply for the scholarship. Any application for admission to study submitted later than six weeks before the scholarship closing date is not guaranteed to be processed in time.
These scholarships are for up to each of 3 years of a research programme subject to satisfactory progress.
- Tuition fees to be covered by The University of Nottingham.
- Stipend – amount to be confirmed – to be covered by the China Scholarship Council.
To be considered for a CSC scholarship applicants must be selected by their China university and they will be asked in the scholarship application form to confirm whether their home institution supports their application for China Scholarship Council funding.
The closing date for scholarship applications is 20 February 2015 – 12 mid-day (UK time).
