Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Chief of Mission (CoM) for Somalia and in coordination with relevant units at Headquarters and the Regional Office (RO) for East and the Horn of Africa in Nairobi, the Project Development Officer will be responsible and accountable for identifying and contributing to the design and development of new programmes, plans and activities for International Organization for Migration (IOM) Somalia. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and facilitation in the development and design of new projects/programmes as well as monitoring and reporting on programmes and projects to be implemented in Somalia and the region and support the functions of IOM Somalia through donor liaison, public information, resource mobilization and coordination with IOM field missions.
