Send your picture of what humanitarian work really looks like. Help celebrate the local people – teachers, health workers, mothers, farmers – who are the true faces of resilience and humanitarian assistance in 2014.
These are the First Responders. Send your best photos which show these everyday heroes, you can change how people think about humanitarian aid forever.

You can also be in with a chance of winning prizes each month, and the overall winner will win a signed print by one of the judging panel, world-famous photographer Ashley Gilbertson.
The best entries will be featured in the First Responders campaign.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
To be eligible to enter the competition you must:
- be a natural person;
- be at least 16 years old;
- not be employee of the organizers, officer or agent, or an employee, officer or agent of any person or organisation involved in the running of the competition, and you must not be a family relation of any such person; and
- have your own email address, and have access to a computer, a web browser and an internet connection
The maximum number of entries per individual is 5 per month.
Photographs submitted on behalf of another person cannot be considered.
START AND CLOSING DATES
The competition opens at 09:00 on Thursday 1st May 2014 and closes at 17:00 on Sunday 30th November 2014. These dates and times are the prevailing dates and times in Great Britain.
The competition will comprise 6 monthly cycles, with 2 prizes awarded for the best submissions each calendar month.
The organizers reserve the right to close the competition at any time prior to the closing date. If they do so, they will close the competition at the end of the then current monthly cycle and all entries submitted during that month shall be counted.
