Within the role of a Marketing Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Campaign Manager and/or Director and undertake a range of duties to help deliver campaigns that exceed client expectations. The role will also have a particular focus on digital marketing.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
Digital Campaign Input
o Assist with digitally-focused campaigns to promote client products, services or issues and build relationships with different stakeholder groups
o Development and analysis of digital data and social media listening techniques and developing client reports
o Deliver consistent and effective messaging through social media, for both the agency and the agency’s clients
o Update client and agency websites with new material
o Help create and develop the agency’s digital offering
o Create engaging and dynamic presentations and graphics
Media Channel Engagement
o Engagement with bloggers, Twitter followers, Facebook & Instagram users, etc. to help promote campaigns and build key relationships for the agency
o Support with the generation of hooks, stories and media collateral to generate
an online ‘buzz’ around brand campaigns and the agency
o Contribution to agency meetings, brainstorming sessions and attending industry events and media briefings
o Supporting various members of the Spink team in a variety of client activities and initiatives
o Research, database management and contributing to new business proposals
o Assist with the organisation of events
EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of social media channels and understanding of the digital marketing landscape
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Ability to work on different projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines
- Good PC proficiency, particular Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- An understanding of marketing and public relations concepts and basic knowledge of business processes
- Be on course for either a first class or 2:1 degree result
- Driving licence (preferable)
All applicants must currently be studying in their second year at university and able to spend a full year at Spink, before returning to their university for their final year of study.
