The Coastal Area Management Programme (CAMP) of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) is a “country-driven” programme aimed at helping the Mediterranean countries in their efforts towards sustainable development. The activities of the programme are concentrated in the coastal areas of Mediterranean countries. Following a request presented by the Government of Montenegro, the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention approved the decision to carry out the Coastal Area Management Programme (CAMP) Project for Montenegro at their 14th Ordinary Meeting. The CAMP Montenegro Project area is the entire coastal zone comprising six coastal municipalities – Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat, Budva, Bar and Ulcinj – with the total surface of 1,591 km2 and internal waters and territorial sea with the surface of around 2,500 km2.
- Undertake necessary changes in the general vulnerability assessment, mainly related to conflicting zones (buildable land use areas and vulnerable areas);
- Review necessity of making changes within vulnerability assessment in the narrow coastal areas;
- Provide inputs for the selection of key coastal areas important for conservation;
- Participate in project meetings.
The planed tasks will be executed 25 working days during the period from mid-August 2013 to November 2013. It is expected from consultant to travel to Podgorica, Montenegro at least 2 times for consultative meetings with the Project Unit team. Each visit should last 2 days (one day for meeting preparation and second day for meeting with Project Unit team). Detailed work plan for will be developed by the project unit after completion of recruitment procedure.
