HR Assistant – Greenpeace UK

They focus on both UK and international environmental challenges which include protecting the Arctic, and defending our oceans and forests. They do this work with our international colleagues who are based in countries across the world.

Greenpeace are currently seeking a HR Assistant to joining their busy HR team, and provide first class administrative assistance and support across all HR processes and functions.

Reporting to the Senior HR Adviser, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external HR related queries to our organisation. You are a confident communicator and have the ability to engage with a range of people with a range of queries. You are able to compose clear and concise communications in response to queries and ensure information you provide is accurate and timely.

It is essential that you have substantial experience of coordinating and supporting recruitment campaigns from start to. This can include; updating and maintaining the shared recruitment tracker, posting adverts, responding to queries from interested applicants, sending out interview invites, assisting with interview preparation and coordination of interviews where required.

You strive to provide a positive experience for all applicants and understand the importance of a good induction for new joiners and have experience of setting up inductions and sharing relevant information with new joiners.

You have experience of setting up and managing administrative processes and systems, including an HR database that keep the HR team and rest of the organisation informed, updated and running like clockwork.

You thrive in a busy and varied work environment and are able to proactively manage your work load in order to achieve deadlines.

Lastly and most importantly, you believe in the overall aims of Greenpeace, understand the principles of equal opportunities and think you would enjoy working in an HR Team.

In addition to meeting the above, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience of providing recruitment administrative support and assistance across a variety of recruitment campaigns.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, sufficient to liaise effectively with a range of contacts verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to manage and develop effective administration systems and processes.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload effectively to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work with minimum day to day supervision, taking initiative where necessary.
  • Experience of working with MS Office packages including excel and word.
Salary: £24,444 – £29,004 per annum
