Bruegel is recruiting an EU funding project manager  to join the Development Team (in charge of raising funds for Bruegel). She/he will be responsible for submitting proposals, managing, monitoring and developing all BRUEGEL projects with EU institutions in particular, but also Public Institutions/International Organizations when opportunities arise.

Main tasks
- Successfully identify EU funded opportunities, coordinate and support the preparation of Horizon 2020 grant proposals and other public funded calls;
 - Manage the overall preparation , implementation, reporting of public funded projects and ensures that work is delivered on time and at the highest standards;
 - Identifying new funding opportunities also through other channels and provide support to the Development team;
 - Liaising with relevant researchers to develop project ideas and proposals;
 - Following up all contractual and financial issues with the contracting authority, partners and experts; verify that expenses are eligible and in line with the budget;
 - Creating and maintaining good relationship with partners and European Institutions;
 - Maintaining necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials pertinent to grants office activities.
 
PROFILE & SKILLS
- University degree. Master’s degree in economics, business/political sciences preferable.
 - A minimum of 2 years working experience dealing with EU Funded projects
 - Strong organizational skills, inter-personal and communication skills in a multinational context, task and solutions oriented, analytical mind, responsible, proactive, autonomous and a strong attention to details;
 - Ability to cope with tight deadlines.
 - Knowledge of the comprehensive suite of funding schemes in Horizon 2020/FP7;
 - Demonstrable results in fundraising are an asset;
 - Sound knowledge of H2020 administrative and financial rules;
 - Fluency in English both written and oral; knowledge of other EU languages is an asset.
