Young Strategists Forum – Call for Applications

Young Strategists Forum
Call for Applications
January 31 – February 4, 2014
Tokyo, Japan

The Young Strategists Forum is an initiative of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) that seeks to develop a new generation of strategic thinkers for an age of constrained resources and mounting international challenges.

To give participants a new platform for voicing their perspectives on key military, political, and economic issues, GMF will initiate a Young Strategists Paper Series after the Forum. Author collaboration across national lines will be strongly encouraged. All papers will be disseminated to a wider audience, available both on the GMF website and at other GMF events.
International airfare, domestic travel, meals, accommodation, and ground transportation during the Forum will be covered by the Forum organizers.

Applicants should send their current resume and/or CV and a personal statement of no more than 500 words explaining the reasons for their application and how they will contribute to and benefit from the Forum.

GMF will accept applications on a rolling basis but no later than November 1, 2013.
