The UNESCO International Literacy Prizes 2013

unesco-logoUNESCO is committed to supporting effective literacy policies and programmes. To that effect, the Organization honours excellence and innovation in the field of literacy throughout the world.

Every year, on the occasion of the International Literacy Day (8 September) , UNESCO awards the International Literacy Prizes to institutions, organizations and individuals whose efforts contribute to the promotion of dynamic literate societies.

The application will include:
1. The submission form duly completed.
2. The written recommendation by the Government of a
Member State or by an International Non-Governmental
Organization in official partnership with UNESCO.
3. Accompanying supporting material.

Who is eligible?
Institutions, organizations or individuals promoting literacy
through effective and innovative programmes or projects.

Deadline for reception of applications: 28 JUNE 2013
