Who can enter the competition?

The competition is global and open to both students and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) (less than 100 employees). There are two categories: one for students and one for companies. There will also be a special recognition for innovation supporting Technology for Good.

Requirements

  • Develop an application based on the Android or Apple iOS platform (Web or Native) that addresses the theme.
  • Submit a demo video and a working prototype application by February 28, 2014.
  • The application must be an original work.
  • The prize money will be shared equally among the registered team members. The winning teams will be contacted to ensure payment of the prize. The winners will be announced on this site.

What are the important steps in the contest?

Step1 – Your idea and team setup

Gather your friends/colleagues and form a team of between two and four people.

Start brainstorming to create an idea that addresses the theme Apps for Working Life.

Step2 – Set up cloud-based storage

Set up cloud-based storage for your team to store application prototypes and demo movies. Note that prototypes and movies do not have to be ready at the time of registration. However, they must be uploaded to your cloud-based storage folder and accessible through the links you have provided by February 28, 2014.

Step 3 – Team registration

The team manager must enter the following details:

– Team/Project name

– Team members

– Team contact person

Press Send to submit your team entry.

Step 4 – Start coding and have fun!

Start coding and make sure you have your prototype and demo movie ready and uploaded to your cloud-based storage folder by February 28.

The prototype and demo movie must be accessible through the links you have provided in the form below by February 28.
