GRI helps businesses, governments and other organizations understand and communicate the impact of business on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, corruption and many others.

With thousands of reporters in over 90 countries, GRI provides the world’s most trusted and widely used standards on sustainability reporting, enabling organizations and their stakeholders to make better decisions based on information that matters. Currently, 27 countries and regions reference GRI in their policies. GRI is built upon a unique multi-stakeholder principle, which ensures the participation and expertise of diverse stakeholders in the development of its standards. GRI’s mission is to empower decision-makers everywhere, through its standards and multi-stakeholder network, to take action towards a more sustainable economy and world.

Position summary

The post holder will work closely with the Senior Manager GRI Report Services to ensure the growth and effective delivery of the GRI services whilst focussing on the GRI Alignment services. The post holder will proactively promote the services externally to organization that would potentially apply for the GRI Report Services and will act as the main point of contact regarding the services within GRI whilst coordinating the incoming requests for services and working with the team members ensuring that services are provided on a high quality and in a timely manner.

The post holder report to the Senior Manager Report Services.

Core responsibilities

  • Serve as primary GRI contact for the GRI Report Services
  • Proactively reach out to organizations that would potentially apply for the GRI Report Services
  • Address the requests for information and provide guidance to organizations that apply for the services
  • Coordinate the provision of the services across the Report Services team
  • Support other members of the team in providing the services
  • Support the line manager on project-related efforts across initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and closing phases
  • Perform other Report Services related tasks as required

Key Competencies/Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales and track record in customer relations
  • Results driven and relationship-oriented at the same time
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Advanced level fluency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or German is an advantage
  • Personal traits as accuracy and thoroughness are of the greatest importance
  • Familiarity with sustainability issues and sustainable development agenda
  • Able to work in an international and multi-cultural setting
  • Affinity with the mission and vision of GRI

Interested candidates must be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

Start Date: A.S.A.P., 40 hrs p/w. (€ 30,000.-/ € 33,000.- gross p/y on full time basis)

Contract: 1 year initially – extension by mutual consent

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
