Regional Communications Officer – WWF

WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic

Regional Communications Officer
(full-time, based in Sofia, Bulgaria)

The position will support the promoting of WWF-DCPO, its work, activities and priorities, particularly at regional level and to international/regional media, partners and the WWF network.

The Regional Communications Officer will report to the Regional Head of Communications and will be based in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Your duties will include:

• Supports the development, coordination and management of communication activities in selected regional-level projects
• Prepares WWF-DCPO regional communications materials
• Supports regional-level communications campaigns
• Coordinates and manages the communication activities in regional projects
• Provides input to development and implementation of regional communications/marketing strategies 
• Supports regional campaigns, e.g. with drafting publicity materials, crisis communications, relations with subcontractors
• Provides input to regional communications event calendar
• Prepares and produces WWF-DCPO regional communications materials, including e.g. annual report, presentation and promotional materials such as fact sheets, brochures, structure and content of websites, videos and photo albums
• Drafts selected press releases and other press communications, including for events such as press conferences and press tours linked to the communications activities in regional projects
• Monitors and evaluates media coverage resulting from the communications activities in regional projects
• Supports the maintenance of a database of journalists and media contacts at regional and international levels 
• Develops, produces, distributes and promotes a regular e-bulletin covering WWF-DCPO news, activities and related issues from the CEE region
• Creates content for the WWF DCP website, the Danube+ website and the websites of WWF regional projects
• Creates content for WWF DCP social media pages – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
