Head of Operations – The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award




The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award are currently looking to recruit a Head of Operations

Location: Central London

Length of contract: Permanent

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation’s mission is to promote The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, provide young people with the Award, and preserve the quality of the Award worldwide. More than eight million young people from over 140 countries and territories have taken part in the Award.

Their ambition is that every eligible young person aged 14 to 24 in the world will have the opportunity to participate in the Award.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the core operational processes of the Foundation, including the management of the licensing and quality assurance of operators (non-Independent Award Centres) and the grants management process that supports them.

Who they’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have experience of quality management tools and processes, developing support tools/products/materials for a wide range of audiences and project and programme management.

As well, they will also have understanding of events management as a fundraising tool, and practical adaptations to maximise revenues. They will also be able to demonstrate vast cultural awareness and sensitivity.
