Graduate (GRAD) – Finance/Strategic Planning & Analysis, European Investment Fund (EIF)

eif-logoThe EIF, the European Investment Fund, in the framework of its GRAD programme, is seeking to recruit for its Finance/Strategic Planning & Analysis Division, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Graduate (GRAD).

Within the Finance/Strategic Planning & Analysis Division (SP&A), the GRAD will contribute to the implementation of the EIF’s planning, cost accounting and management reporting processes to facilitate the execution of the corporate strategy and to allocate the EIF’s resources in a cost effective way.

Responsibilities:

As part of the EIF Strategic Planning and Analysis team, the GRAD will mainly:

  • Provide ongoing financial analysis including developing current key performance indicators and trend analysis;
  • Analyse data and collect and present findings for key management decisions;
  • Prepare and issue monthly and quarterly management reports;
  • Provide analysis and financial information to senior leaders as required;
  • Collaborate in the preparation and drafting of the Corporate Operational Plan (COP), including: reviewing documents within the team and the EIF; and ensuring the timely gathering of financial information necessary for reporting;
  • Create and lead quarterly variance analysis and forecasting process;
  • Ensure that each department has adequate financial analysis support for current and future activities.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics;
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis and cost accounting standards;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office notably Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Good knowledge of relational databases and potentially Business Objects;
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an asset.

  • Well-developed analytical skills and problem solving approach;
  • Ability to collect, synthesize and structure information and produce clear and concise reports;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise;
  • Ability to work under pressure with rigour and precision
  • Willingness to learn.
